What the free AR viewer does

Most AR platforms make you sign up, install an SDK, or pay before you can see anything. ARView gives you a working AR link in under a minute.

🔗

Instant AR link

Upload a file, get a URL. Send it by WhatsApp, email or SMS — the recipient opens it and the model appears in their space.

📱

iPhone and Android

One link serves Apple Quick Look on iOS and Google Scene Viewer on Android automatically. Nothing to configure.

📐

Real-world scale

Models render at true size, so a two-metre sofa looks like a two-metre sofa in the room.

Free QR code

Every model gets a scannable QR code for packaging, print, business cards or in-store displays.

🖼

Embeddable viewer

Drop an interactive 3D viewer into any website with a single iframe — Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, plain HTML.

📊

View tracking

See how many times each model has been opened in AR, with no analytics setup required.

How to view a 3D model in AR — free

Three steps, about sixty seconds total.

1

Upload your 3D file

Drag a .glb, .gltf or .usdz file onto the homepage. Maximum size is 50MB, which covers almost every product model.

2

Get your AR link and QR code

ARView processes the file and returns a short link plus a downloadable QR code. No waiting, no queue.

3

Open it on a phone

Tap the link on any modern iPhone or Android. Point the camera at a floor or table and the model drops into the room at real scale.

Supported 3D file formats

GLB

The recommended format. A single binary file containing geometry, textures and materials. Works on iPhone, Android and in the browser viewer. Export from Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya or almost any modern 3D tool.

GLTF

The text-based sibling of GLB. Same capabilities, slightly larger file size. Useful if you need to inspect or edit the file contents directly.

USDZ

Apple's format for Quick Look. Delivers the smoothest experience on iPhone and iPad. Android users will see the 3D viewer rather than full AR placement, so GLB is safer for mixed audiences.

Don't have a 3D model yet? Free scanning apps like Luma AI can turn a thirty-second phone video of a real object into a downloadable GLB file. Read the full guide to making 3D models for AR →

Who uses a free AR viewer

🛋

Furniture and homeware retailers

Customers place the sofa in their own living room before ordering. Fewer returns, more confident buyers.

🎨

Interior designers

Send clients an AR link instead of a flat render. They see the piece at real size in the actual room before anything is ordered.

🧑‍💻

3D artists and freelancers

Share portfolio pieces as AR links. Clients view work on their phone with no software to install.

🛍

E-commerce brands

Add an AR button to product pages. Works with Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Webflow and custom stores.

🍽

Restaurants

Diners scan a QR code on the table and see the dish in 3D at actual portion size before ordering.

🏛

Museums and education

Let visitors examine artefacts or specimens up close on their own device.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AR viewer really free?
Yes. The free plan includes three uploads, an AR link and QR code for each model, the 3D viewer embed, and view tracking. No credit card is required. Pro is $5 a month for unlimited uploads, permanent hosting and no watermark.
Do I need to download an app?
No. ARView uses the AR engine already built into the phone — Apple Quick Look on iOS and Google Scene Viewer on Android. The experience opens directly from the browser.
Which devices support AR?
iPhone 6s and newer running iOS 12 or later, and most Android phones released since 2018 that support Google Play Services for AR. That covers the large majority of smartphones in use today.
How large can my 3D file be?
Up to 50MB. For the best loading speed on mobile data, aim for under 10MB — keep polygon counts under roughly 100,000 triangles and textures at 2048×2048 or smaller.
Can I embed the viewer on my own website?
Yes. Every model comes with an iframe embed snippet that works on any site, including Shopify, WordPress, Webflow and hand-coded HTML.
What happens to my models on the free plan?
Free-plan models are automatically removed after 24 hours and carry a small ARView badge in the AR view. Pro models are kept permanently with no badge.
Do viewers need to create an account?
No. Anyone with the link can open the AR experience. Only the person uploading needs an account, and even that is optional for a first upload.
